The Twist Jug is handblown in Kenya using glass from the offcuts of window panes. Each jug is made by a skilled glassmith trained locally in the art. Whilst in the making process the jug is skillfully shaped to create a twisted effect to handle and also to the body of the jug. When the light shines through it, it creates lovely patterns through the glass.
Each jug is handmade and may vary in shape, size and colour. At Mikoko, we believe that these features/quirks make these jugs beautiful.
